Green Paint

My living room now has a beautiful new coat of paint!!! It is a lovely, medium-intensity shade of sage green. Maybe, just maybe, I will post a pic of the finished room in a couple of years when we actually get around to finishing it. We're replacing all the moulding in the house, as we do each room, because the old moulding is just...blah. As of yet, we have not even purchased the new moulding for the room, but hopefully that will happen soon.

Painting was a huge step for me (I chose the colors almost a year ago...), and I had a friend who helped. Irene did very well, only touching the wet paint once, and we allowed her to be in the room while we painted because I couldn't get a babysitter. I didn't really want to paint while I was pregnant, but I had removed wallpaper before I found out, and it wasn't really presentable. I did want to wait until the morning sickness was gone (hooray!!!), but not so long that I couldn't sit on the floor for any length of time.

Medium (not mild) Salsa

Time for another story, peoples. Irene (who else would the story be about???) is developing a taste for salsa. Her way of eating it is rather masochistic. She takes a chip, dips it in salsa, licks the salsa off, then says "Spicy, spicy, spicy" with tears in her eyes. Immediately upon the extreme hotness leaving her tongue, she repeats the process with occasional bites of the chip. The reaction lessens with each bite, but it doesn't seem to carry over to the next time.

Ok, online friends, here it is! This may knock your socks off, or it may make you want to put some on. Or it may do neither. A few of you already know this. A few of you do not. A few of you may not care. If you fall into the last category, please do not bother to comment about it. I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Irene plans to be a big sister sometime in December. She is quite excited about the prospect, but she doesn't really realize what this will mean to her life.

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, the little one turned TWO!!! She enjoyed the extra attention, and her new favorite song is "Happy Birthday". Her Grandma S. sent her a couple of packages for her birthday, one came a few days early, and the other on her birthday. I took the early one out of the mailing package and wrapped it. She really enjoyed opening it, and when she finally ripped the last bit of paper off, her face lit up as she picked it up and unfolded it, and she said "Pretty dress!!!" It was a dress and sweater set. The contents of the other package were enjoyed as well.
