Sleepy Times

Yesterday afternoon, on the way home from church, Irene fell asleep in the car. She woke up briefly when I brought her into the house, then she wanted to go to bed. Two hours later, I turned the hall light on and opened her door, as this usually wakes her up from a nap. An hour after that, she was still asleep, and since it was 8 o'clock by that point, we decided that she was down for the night. She didn't get up this morning until 7:50! I normally don't let her get up before 8, but since she'd been sleeping for almost 15 hours, I decided to make an exception. Besides, she woke up happy! In other sleep news, Helen slept through the night last night and the night before!!!

Just now, Irene said, "I have two booties on...They aren't boots, they're booties!" (They are, in fact, boots.)

Good Job

Today, both children were down for a nap at the same time!!! I decided to take advantage of the break to clean up the incredibly messy family room and kitchen. No, I didn't take a nap, because I'm getting plenty of sleep at night.(!) Anyway, when Irene got up from her nap moments ago, she looked around the family room and said, "You cleaned it up. Good job, Mom! You did a good job!"

Untitled

I MISS MY SISTER. Tomorrow, she and Scott will be married a month. Helen is six weeks old. I'm going to be in another wedding. Irene will probably be in the same wedding. Apparently, I'm in random-news mode today. I'm thinking it's time for another Helen pic.
